UPDATE: Extended processing window for certain U.S. dollar payments

The extended processing window for certain U.S. dollar payments upgrade planned for October 19, 2021 has been postponed to October 21, 2021.


Effective October 19, 2021, we are extending our payment processing window to enable nearly instantaneous processing of certain U.S. dollar payments initiated via SWIFT and from our API.*

This change primarily benefits:

  • Customers who originate and receive payments via SWIFT.
  • Customers who use our API to originate from or receive payments into deposit accounts at Silvergate.

Some Silvergate customers may now see these payment types flow out of or into their accounts outside of our standard operating hours – 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Our ability to extend payment processing times demonstrates our ongoing commitment to decreasing banking friction for our customers and the digital currency ecosystem.
